"Pursuant to Government Code Section 50077,  the Board of Directors of the California Pines Community Services District ("CPCSD") will hold a public hearing at the date, time, and place listed below to take public input on proposals to increase the rates of two (2) special taxes currently imposed by CPCSD.

The first proposal would increase the rate of an existing CPCSD special tax for community services district services (such as maintaining the water and wastewater systems and collecting solid waste) from $66 per parcel per year to $116 per parcel per year. This proposal would generate approximately $98,000 annually in additional revenue for community services in the CPCSD, subject to accountability measures as required by law.

The second proposal would increase CPCSD's existing special tax to fund fire protection services from $25 per parcel per year to $75 per parcel per year. This proposal would generate approximately $755,000 annually in additional revenue for fire services in the CPCSD, subject to accountability measures as required by law.

Copies of the two proposed resolutions will be posted on the district’s website and at the district offices. Voter approval of each proposal would be required through the adoption of a resolution by at least 2/3 of the voters voting on each proposal at the November 5, 2024, election."
