MED-Project supplies envelopes and sharps containers with pre-paid postage for responsible disposal

California Pines Community Services District and Fire Department are registered as Mail-Back Distribution Locations in California. Through MED-Project, an approved California State Drug Take-Back Program under Senate Bill 212 (2018), provides access to free, pre-paid Unwanted Medicine Mail-Back Envelopes to safely and conveniently dispose of household medications that are no longer needed.

Please Note: Unwanted Medicine Mail-Back Envelopes are for residents to dispose of household medications only. The district cannot be sold or used by the district for medication disposal.

Items NOT ACCEPTED: Pre-filled injector products, inhalers, vitamins, herbal supplements, vaping devices, thermometers, and illicit drugs are not accepted.

Residents will securely return sealed Unwanted Medicine Mail-Back Envelopes through the United States Postal Service to a registered reverse distributor facility where the envelope and its contents will be destroyed per the United States Drug Enforcement Administration regulations.
