2025 Tax Assessment Increase Information

The California Pines Service District and Fire Department have faced financial challenges due to inflation and business costs over the past 15 years. The district has attempted to function on the same revenue for 15 years, but the current funding only covers a portion of annual operating costs. The CSD board is working to gather information and obtain proper direction to navigate these challenges. The District also retains legal counsel to ensure necessary and legal steps are taken in accordance with local, state, and federal law. Public meetings will be held to provide updates and information, and the community is encouraged to provide input and guidance.

Please come to the district meetings to show your support or ask questions. Each meeting has a public comment section where community members will have a chance to speak. Your participation is crucial to the continued success of the Community Service District and Fire Department in California Pines.

Regular Board Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am.

All meetings will be available on Zoom, and a link will be posted on the CSD website for those who can not attend in person but want to participate. Information on when and where meetings will be held will be posted in the following areas:
